Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. At Elton we are proud of our school and all that it achieves. Our school maintains a balance between traditional values and an exciting, creative and stimulating curriculum. Elton C of E School is an inclusive school where every child is valued and nurtured. Every child is given the opportunity to thrive. We have an excellent pupil-to-adult ratio with children supported by experienced teachers and teaching assistants. We admit children from both within and outside the village.
Our school is situated in the beautiful Peak District National Park and is below average in size. Each child is treated as an individual and we can honestly say that we know each child well, and understand their learning needs. We are closely linked to All Saints’ Church which is next to the school and we hold regular times of worship in Church, led by staff and clergy. We are particularly proud of our forest school provision.
If you would like your child to attend a school, with a traditional Christian, caring ethos, then we may well be the school for you! If you require further information please do not hesitate to contact us.
Our vision and values permeate everything we do:
To enable all our children to thrive in the loving, caring, Christian environment of a small, friendly village school. ‘Be happy, be resilient and be curious.’
As a distinctively Christian school, our values are based on those seen in the Bible. They also reflect the values of many other faiths and can be held by those of no faith:
Love, Kindness, Forgiveness, Hope, Service, Respect, Patience, Peace, Joy, Sharing, Courage, Justice.
At Elton Church of England Primary School we have four core aims. We:
• Are happy and resilient
• Are ambitious for the future
• Are curious and inspired to learn more
• Celebrate our community, our Church of England Foundations and our inclusive and caring family ethos
Our Mission Statement
At Elton Church of England Primary School we regard each child as unique, with individual needs. We celebrate and respect diversity. We are committed to providing each child with the highest standard of care, guidance and support through our Christian values. We aim to help children develop a sense of self-worth and confidence and to become life-long learners.
Our School Bible Verse is: ‘
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future’. Jeremiah 29 vs 11
We look forward to meeting you.
